Detail COGGED V-BELT
The main difference between a cogged belt and a standard v-belt is the ability for the cogs ( notches) on the underside of a cogged belt to relieve some bending stress when flexed, thus enabling a cogged belt to operate on a smaller pulley compared to that of a standard v-belt; and the notches of the cogged belt increase the amount of heat dissipation.
